In 2024, Deloitte calculated our Social Return on Investment as 8.8:1, meaning that for every $1 donated, we create $8.80 of social value.

This gives donors confidence that their donation creates value beyond the dollar amount.

What is Social Return on Investment?

Social Return on Investment (SROI) helps us understand the real impact of our work. It measures the social, environmental and economic value created by Nourished for Nil.. In simple terms, it answers:

 ‘For every $1 invested in Nourished for Nil, how much positive change is created?’

What it means for supporters

When you support Nourished for Nil, your contribution goes further. Our SROI demonstrates that every dollar invested delivers $8.80 dollars’ worth of positive impact, strengthening communities and protecting the environment.

SROI looks beyond financial profit and puts a value on outcomes like:

Those outcomes are then quantified and, where possible, given a monetary value. This allows us to show the full impact of donations, partnerships and funding. These benefits add up.
